Farm Storage & Facility Loans
The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) recently announced an enhancement to the Farm Storage and Facility Loan Program, which provides low-interest financing to producers. The expanded program includes 22 new categories of eligible equipment and relaxed security requirements for loans up to $100,000.
Farm Storage and Facility Loans can be used to build or upgrade permanent facilities to store commodities including grains, hay, renewable biomass, fruits, and vegetables. Accu-Steel commodity storage buildings are a qualifying storage facility under the program requirements.
Accu-Steel commodity storage buildings are just one of many Accu-Steel building designs that qualify for financial assistance and loan programs. For instance, Accu-Steel cattle buildings are approved for the Environmental Quality Incentives Program (EQIP) in a number of states. Through EQIP, the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) provides federal grant assistance to help farmers plan and implement conservation practices on eligible agricultural land.
