Join us Jan. 8 for Calving Under Roof Informational Session – Free Event
Accu-Steel is a proud sponsor of an upcoming informational session, “Calving Under Roof,” which will take place Tuesday, Jan. 8, at the Iowa Speedway in Newton, Iowa. Cow-calf operators are invited to attend the free session, where industry experts will provide information regarding health considerations, personal experiences, and rules and regulations that apply to calving under roof. Featured speakers include Bill Iams, a Pennsylvania cattleman who has been successfully calving under roof for five years; Dr. Grant Dewell of Iowa State University, who will address health considerations; Coalition to Support Iowa’s Farmers Field Specialist Kent Mowrer, who will share pertinent rules and regulations; and a panel of farmers who will discuss raising cows and calves under roof. Lunch will be served at 11:30 a.m., with the program set to begin at 12:15 p.m. The day will conclude with a tour of an Accu-Steel cattle barn, beginning at 3:15 p.m. There is no cost to attend, but registration is required.
